Hello, we are the Dales.
We are husband and wife photography team Martin & Louise. We've been shooting people for money since 2008...with cameras, obviously! We absolutely L O V E what we do, we love meeting new people and we love creating new memories.....memories that we hope will last a lifetime.
As of 2023 we have been fortunate enough to photograph over 600 weddings.
We are happiest out walking our dog Jack on the beach in North Devon or along the Pembroke coast and love the outdoors in general. Our families and friends are also s u p e r important to us and love spending time with them. Usually around our big table eating and drinking, singing a few songs and generally enjoying the laughter that comes with it. Martin loves coffee, Loula loves tea and we both love cake!
Photographing people is the best 'job' in the world but doing it on a wedding day, a day so full of joy, laughter, love and emotion is just an amazing feeling.
A Bit about how we work
We have been working together as a team for 15 years!
Yep, 15 years and still having fun...we know what each other is capable of and that's what makes it easy. Louise covers the morning with the girls, photographing the dress and the shoes and the atmosphere and Martin makes sure the boys are dressed properly whilst photographing their shenanigans! We are always at opposite ends to each other during the day, making sure we've got it all covered. We take loads and loads (and loads!!) of natural shots throughout a wedding day. We also do some group photos; we make this bit quick and easy with Louise doing all of the organising whilst Martin gets the easy bit and just takes p i c t u r e s.
We also love to have a little bit of time with you as a newly wed couple
We love this part of the day because its usually the point where you realise that...........H O L Y M O L Y, you just got married! We'll sneak you off, away from the guests for a few photos, we are always careful not to keep you away from the party for longer than necessary but also know how important this part is to some couples.
And of course, we photograph, speeches, cake cut, the first dance plus some dance floor action!
All of the above are covered by both of us, again from different angles and perspectives to give a full and varied story. We usually stay a little bit after the first dance to get some of you and your guests smashing out some grooves.
